Sanctuary Leaderboard Integrity Methodology

Unlike legacy gaming directories vulnerable to paid vote bots, Indie Realms employs a multi-tiered Bayesian consensus algorithm. Votes are linked to verified Steam/Discord tenure and automatically decay over a 30-day sliding window.

Decay Formula

Score = (Votes_30d × 0.70) + (Rating × 20 × 0.25) × DecayFactor

Anti-Sybil Verification

Ballot participation requires verified email, OAuth account tenure, and minimum reputation.

Active Window Tally

Leaderboard tallies regenerate every 6 hours to maintain freshness without vote spam shocks.
